Brownies [Chocolate³]

Let’s imagine you just had a huge argument with someone and suddenly you realize you are the one who’s been totally wrong. In situations like this you need something really nice to make them forget and to say I’m sorry.

This weekend I had a similar situation – well, minus the argument! I needed something delicious to convince some guys to do me a favor. And when I say guys I mean Basketball Players! I usally go for Chocolate Chip Cookies but the bigger the favor, the more chocolate you need. So I decided to make Brownies.

I’m definitely not a person who like to brag, but damn, those brownies turned out amazing! And here comes the recipe:

Triple Chocolate Brownies

makes about 30-35 Brownies

  • 275g + 85g chopped dark chocolate
  • 275g unsalted butter
  • 85g chopped nuts (it’s up to you! you can use pecans, almonds, peanuts,…)
  • 85g chopped milk chocolate
  • 85g chopped white chocolate
  • 175g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 325g caster sugar

Preheat oven to 325°F, grease and flour a baking pan – about 12″x8″.

Melt 275g dark chocolate and butter in a medium sized pot on low heat. Don’t forget to stir!

Mix flour and baking powder. Remove the melted chocolate from the heat and stir in the sugar. Add eggs and vanilla essence, then fold in the flour, nuts and chocolate chunks.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let it cool completely. Remove it from the pan and cut into squares.

Hmmm.. can you smell the chocolate?? Go on, make yourself some delicious brownies! [I’ll just assume everybody has that much chocolate in their pantry^^]

Have a sweet week and HAPPY BAKING!
