We’re getting closer and closer to Christmas and it’s about time to get the last presents. Here’s an idea :
A little knowlegde in working with textiles helps but is not necessary. Take an evening off and make these lovely pillows for your loved ones.
You will need:
- Fabric (yes, I really used some old clothes!)
- Paper and pen
How to make it:
Firstly draw the letters you will need on some sheets of paper. Remember not to make them too thin and roughly the same size. Then cut them out (1). Take a piece of fabric, double it and use the pins to secure the paper letters (2). Now you can carfully cut out the letters.
Remove the paper but still hold the fabric with a couple of pins together. Then sew around the outline of your letter (backstich works just fine!) (3). It doesn’t have to be perfect, just make sure you don’t have any loose threads and don’t forget to leave a little opening to fill the letter. Now use the fiberfill to stuff the letter (4) – carefully, you don’t want to rip the seams open – and then sew it closed. All done!
Don’t you think they would look amazing at your home? Maybe in your kid’s room? Or the living room?
Watch your fingers & HAPPY CRAFTING!
