It is Tuesday again and that means an easy peasy recipe from the radio straight to your table! And because it is so terribly cold outside at the moment, I have something to help you warm up very quickly … a super delicious winter punch with pomegranate and cider.

Winter punch

makes 2-3 cups

  • 250 ml  pomegranate juice
  • 300 ml cider
  • 20-30 g sugar
  • 100 ml  water
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 1 small piece of peeled ginger
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • optional: rum

 

For the punch mix pomegranate juice, cider, sugar and water in a pot and slowly heat it up. Just before the liquid starts boiling remove it from the stove and let rest for about 10 minutes. Now remove the spices and warm up again as required. Fill in cups and serve just like that or with a dash of rum and a few pomegranate seeds.
