It’s only a few days until Easter, and I came to the shocking realisation that I completely forgot to dye some Easter eggs this year! That’s what happens when you have so much to do and your head is completely overcrowded…
But, to be honest: I think Easter would be pretty boring without easter eggs, so I decided without further ado to get creative: Easter eggs with cute colourful mini Pom Poms – super easy to make and a real eye-catcher
The biggest difficulty was actually the choice of adhesive, because as I have found egg shells are both craft and superglue resistant. I ended up going for hot glue and then it worked out wonderfully:
- Hard-boiled white eggs
- Mini-Pom-Poms (I got mine from Tedi (kinda similar to a Pound shop) – otherwise they can be found on Amazon* as well)
- hot glue
Get the pom poms ready and make sure you have a nice mix of colours. Then start heating up the hot glue gun. It’s best to put a big piece of cardboard under it so that the glue does not drip everywhere.
Now it’s time to glue: I soon realised that it looks best if you put a tiny bit of glue directly on to the pom pom and then press it on the egg, this way you do not see any excess glue on the egg.
And from there you can just decorate your eggs any way you like.
Aren’t they cute ?! And really easy to make – so just try it!
Stay sweet & HAPPY CRAFTING!
